Regulatory Approvals

 

Wailuku Water Company, LLC (WWC) has applied for certain regulatory approvals from the State of Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (PUC). On May 18, 2022, WWC filed its Amended Application with the PUC which seeks a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to authorize its operations, as well as PUC approval of the proposed rates to be charged for utility service. The Amended Application is the focus of an ongoing regulatory proceeding before the PUC, referred to as Docket No. 2008-0025. Customer notice regarding PUC Amended Application

 

In conjunction with the filing of its Amended Application with the PUC, WWC has provided additional notice to customers and users of the non-potable water delivery system. A copy of the customer notice letter is at the link below. As indicated in this notice letter, WWC is providing public notice concerning the filing of its Amended Application, which seeks certain regulatory approvals including a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to authorize its operations, as well as PUC approval of the proposed rates to be charged for utility service. The Amended Application is the focus of an ongoing regulatory proceeding before the PUC, referred to as Docket No. 2008-0025. WWC encourages community members to participate in the public hearing to be scheduled by the PUC concerning the Amended Application. When the PUC has set the date and time for the public hearing it will be posted on this website. Please check back for updates.

Rules & Regulations


Non-potable water delivery service by the Wailuku Water Company may be made available subject to various terms and conditions, including but not limited to compliance with the utility’s Rules and Regulations as approved by the Public Utilities Commission. The Rules and Regulations will be available at the link below upon approval by the Public Utilities Commission.
